FAQs

We require that all new clients fill out an intake form before their first visit arrival. This gives your chiropractor an insight into your case so they can prepare for your arrival as best a possible. It also includes a 'consent for examination' which is legally required before your consultation. You will need to 'sign' the form at the end for us to receive it. You won't be able to sign the form until all required boxes have been filled. If you are having further issues with this, please give us a call or contact us below.

I can't fill out the Intake Form

Treatments slots are 15 minutes in length. The main aim for your chiropractor will be to align your spine as best as possible. The average time this takes for your chiropractor is 15 minutes however the treatment won't end until all target areas have been addressed. Your chiropractor will make you aware of any changes to treatment length before your arrival.

Unsure if Chiropractic is what you're looking for?

Every individual is different. Different ages, different bodies, different lifestyles etc. This means no two individuals will respond to chiropractic care in the same way. A large proportion of cases a chiropractor sees involves adapting the spine to a more central alignment, which requires time and repetition, similar to a bodybuilder wanting bigger muscles. While we can't say exactly how many treatments you will need, any changes to your wellbeing will take time and repetition.

How many treatments will I need?

Of course a chiropractic adjustment is not mandatory. We use plenty of other techniques to get the joint movement required such and joint mobilisations, activator and drop pieces. These techniques often aren't accompanied by the clicking sensation often felt in an adjustment.

A chiropractic adjustment, in a lot of cases, are the most effective way to address joint subluxations. They involve your chiropractor applying short but quick thrusts to the stiff joints, shifting them into a more central alignment, thus reducing the stress they're under. Sometimes this can cause a 'click' in the joint, which is just the pent up pressure in the joint being released quickly. This release of pressure reduces the local joint stresses and should be relieving.

Does joint clicking hurt?

What if I'm not in pain?

What if I don't want to be clicked?

A vertebral subluxation is when a joint within your spinal column is slightly out of place. This causes the joint to become tight, which can lead to pain and stiffness, but also puts stress on the nervous system and ultimately reduces its efficacy. Subluxations typically affect multiple levels of the spine and gradually worsen the longer they are untended to.

What is a vertebral subluxation?

Your nervous system plays a pivotal role in almost every aspect of human function. From your thoughts and emotions, to how well your body fights against illness, your nerves are a central component for living a happy and healthy life. Stress on your nervous system can appear silent and doesn't always cause 'pain symptoms', so if you're sleeping poorly, having concentration difficulties etc. or simply want to optimise your wellbeing, chiropractic is perfect for you
